21st IWCB Christmas Bazaar was such a success!
The Christmas Bazaar is our main charity activity. The Bazaar is organized by the clubs members and it takes place every year in the end of November.
It is known as Bratislava's biggest international fund-raising event. Foreign embassies and charitable organizations set up stands selling food and products and all proceeds goes to charitable projects in Slovakia. The bazaar takes place in November every year.
In 2011 we had over 4.000 visitors, 37 national tables, 6 charity tables, 4 schools with children's activities, participation from the Rotary and Lions club and many more sponsors who helped with their service and know-how. 90.147 Euros were raised, which was again a new record!
All profit will be distributed in 2012 to recognized charity organizations all over Slovakia. The IWCB Charity committee assesses the applications and specific needs of the charitable organizations.

Why is there a Christmas Bazaar?
The IWC Bazaar started when foreign ladies decided to organize a charity event to give something back to the community they lived in. It is the biggest fundraiser and is a wonderful opportunity for countries to introduce themselves with their products, national dresses, etc. to the Slovak public. For companies it is a convenient way of product placement, especially because the Christmas Bazaar is a well known event in Bratislava and widely covered by all media.
Who does what?
The embassies organize their national goods and sell them at their tables, find sponsors for products, money or barter. The IWCB organizes everything that is connected to the day itself, i.e. the venue, the decoration, tombola, insurance, ticket sales etc.
When did it all start?
