MRS. GAŠPAROVIČOVÁ IS THE 2012 IWCB HONORARY MEMBER |
First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová adopted on 4 April 2012 in the Presidential Palace in Bratislava representatives of the International Women's Club of Bratislava (IWCB). IWCB President Mrs. Lenka Peugniez rendered her on this occasion a certificate of the honorary membership in the International Women's Club of Bratislava for the year 2012.
Mrs. Gašparovičová has long supported charitable activities of the club as such the traditional charity Christmas bazaar and since 2005 she is an honorary member of the club. In 2011, 90,147 EUR were collected at the 21st Christmas bazaar, which will be used to help various organizations, seniors´ houses, children's homes and hospitals in Slovakia. Since 1991 the International Women's Club of Bratislava brings together more than 140 women from different countries living in Slovakia, often they are spouses of ambassadors accredited in Slovakia.

Who are we?
The International Women's Club of Bratislava (IWCB) is a non-profit, non-religious, non-political club made up from English-speaking women of all ages and nationalities living in Bratislava. Our purpose is to promote friendship and understanding and to encourage our members to engage in charitable activities.
What do we offer?
Bratislava newcomers can feel at home much faster through membership of the IWCB by getting support from women already established in Bratislava. We offer many exclusive activities and opportunities to meet other international women in Bratislava. We are a member of the Open Door network and through this umbrella organization have contact with other Women’s clubs throughout the world. The successes of the activities organized by the IWCB are led by IWCB member volunteers who offer their time and efforts free of charge to help other members with similar interests.
